Agnihotri, Rama Kant retired from the University of Delhi as Professor of Linguistics and is Professor Emeritus at Vidya Bhawan Society, Udaipur. His fields of interest are Sociolinguistics, Applied Linguistics, Language Teaching and ELT, Research Methodology, Literacy and Primary Education, and Morphology. His publications include several papers in journals of National and International repute. Some of his books are Second Language Acquisition: Socio-cultural and Linguistic Aspects of English in India (co-edited with A.L. Khanna), Problematizing English in India (with A.L. Khanna), Hindi Morphology: A Word-based Description (with Rajendra Singh), Noam Chomsky: The Architecture of Language (co-edited with N. Mukherjee and B. N. Patnaik), Hindi: An Essential Grammar, among several others.

He has authored several books in the domain of language and linguistics and is interested in material development, teacher training, and education.
