Language and Language Teaching
Focusing on language education, multilingualism and linguistics, it is an international biannual peer-reviewed journal being published since 2012.
About The Journal
Language and Language Teaching (LLT) is a peer-reviewed, bi-annual journal published in English in January and July. It was established in 2012 with the financial support from Azim Premji University, Bengaluru. The primary focus of the publication is language pedagogy in elementary schools. LLT proposes to establish a dialogue between theory and practice so that practice contributes to theory as much as theory informs practice. The idea is to make new ideas and insights from research on language and language pedagogy accessible to practitioners while at the same time inform theorist about the constraints of implementation of new ideas. It reaches out to anyone who is interested in the nature of language and language teaching, including language teachers, researchers and teacher educators. It has published 30 issues, including 5 special issues. VBS has relaunched the journal in January 2022 in collaboration with Aakar Books International, Delhi.
